ashtanga beginners: a 6 week course with Lauren Munday

Jump on board Lauren’s next ashtanga beginners course and get to grips with this dynamic and physically demanding style of yoga. Ashtanga yoga differs from what you may experience in a regular yoga class as it involves practising a set series of poses in a constant flow, with each movement synchronised with the breath. An ashtanga beginner’s course allows you to get acquainted with the ashtanga sequence, meaning you can attend Mysore style self-practice or ashtanga classes with confidence. This course is still suitable for those completely new to yoga, and for those with an existing practice, it’s a great opportunity to try something new.

Often we can dive in out of our depth and miss learning essential alignment points or the nuances of our practice which can keep us safe and help us get the most out of our classes. A yoga beginners course is the perfect opportunity to start from scratch or revisit the foundation of your yoga practice. Alison’s clear, logical and warm approach ensures you won’t miss a trick and will be left with lifelong lessons to help your yoga practice flourish, no matter which style or teacher you find yourself drawn to. The course is limited to a capacity of 20, much smaller than your average class, meaning you’ll get more expert one-on-one attention too!
