4 ways to treat mental health

For Mental Health Awareness Week, we wanted to share the different treatments available for supporting your mental health. From cognitive behavioural therapy to sound healing, we put together a list of the different triyoga treatments for mind healing.

1.  emotional freedom techniques (eft)

EFT is a ‘modern meridian therapy’ which has its roots in Acupressure and Shiatsu. Fingertips are used to tap on meridian points whilst focusing on the problem (emotional or physical), releasing negative feelings and emotions and helping to re-balance the energy system of the body.

2.  cognitive behavioural therapy (cbt)

CBT is a proven method for treating anxiety, depression and habit control – and is now the treatment of choice for many anxiety issues under the NHS. Sometimes combined with Hypnotherapy, CBT is a powerful, quick and safe treatment protocol for helping with negative thought processes and behaviour patterns.

Some of the conditions that can be treated with the CBT are; stress, anxiety + panic attacks, depression, phobias, smoking cessation, insomnia, eating disorders (bulimia, anorexia, binge eating), IBS, addictions , obsessive compulsive disorder + habit control.

3.  sound massage + sound healing

Sound healing is an ancient art that has been practised for thousands of years to support the body to detox, energise and heal. We are made up of many different cells vibrating at a particular frequency, some healthier than others. When we commune with specific sounds tones or frequencies our cells are inspired to shift into harmonic resonance. Working with the pure tones of the crystal bowls and sacred chant we can clear discordant frequencies so the body is able to harmonise back into its natural vibrational state. Sound healing can support releasing blocks on a physical, mental, emotional, spiritual – karmic or genetic level; as our frequency shifts we are able to self heal, move into a clearer state of being and in turn create a happier reality.

Sound massage is a holistic treatment using therapeutic singing bowls specially designed for human body. With this massage, clients receive both a sonic audible experience and a vibrational massage as the singing bowls used produce a series of harmonic vibrations that penetrate deeply into all organs, systems, tissues, bones and ligaments of the body. This massage is extremely beneficial and healing both on the physical and mental levels. Clients are left feeling a profound sense of relief, emotionally balanced and centred.

4.  intuitive + healing coaching

This treatment is a journey on self-discovery, exploring places clients might not have known existed in themselves, helping them to understand how to find acceptance for who they really are, and integrating that into their world at large. Learning how everything is connected is paramount as awareness is curative. Whether you are stuck in a pattern or your unresolved past is hampering your present life, these sessions can help you find balance and greatly improve the quality of life.
