Tim Feldmann is a seasoned ashtanga yoga teacher and the director of Miami Life Centre – the yoga shala he founded with his wife Kino MacGregor and Matt Tashjian. He was set on the yoga path by his first teacher Lino Miele and his authorised to teach directly by the founder of the Ashtanga yoga method Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson R. Sharath Jois. Tim’s teaching is humourous and straightforward and integrates his knowledge of functional anatomy and alignment as well as his experience as a dancer and choreographer. Tim will be hosting two online workshops on the primary series on 21-22 August 2020 (includes 72-hour access to an online recordings), as well as more philosophical workshop on the yoga sutras on 6th September 2020.

To be a good friend to my friends, a useful resource to my students, a loving husband, son and brother.

More rides on my motorcycle, spend more time with my wife and write a book.

Kindness, focus and an appreciation of what is already.
Where is your happy place?
I’ve got many… on my motorcycle driving great roads in beautiful countryside with a friend, Copenhagen with my old friends and family, Mysore with my teacher and my friends, teaching with my students, on my sofa with Netflix, walking around the block with my wife.
If you could teach everyone in the world one concept, what concept would have the biggest impact on humanity?
Kindness and straight forwardness.
Is intelligence or wisdom more useful?
True intelligence is wisdom.
What life-altering things should every human ideally get to experience at least once in their lives?
To hit rock bottom and climb back up.
What two questions would you ask to get the most information about who a person truly is?
What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done? What’s your dream?
What is the biggest waste of human potential?
Dishonesty to oneself.
How do you define consciousness?
Being awake and live with awareness.
What causes the most harm in the world, but is completely avoidable?
Lack of acknowledgements and kindness towards other people’s true needs.
Has social media been a net positive or a net negative for our society? Why?
It’s an evolutionary tool with a distinct double edge.
To what extent do you shape your own destiny and how much is down to fate?
Everything I am is built on what was given e.g. I was given good health by my family genes and my parents’ upbringing; my accomplishments as an adult have been based in the physical realm so I owe my family everything!
