Join Dr Melody Moore, founder of the Embody Love Movement foundation, for a weekend of workshops to engage your psyche, ignite your heart, and open your potential from the 14 – 16 October. She details what you can expect from each workshop below.
Friday 14th October, 7.45pm to 9.45pm
embody love
Spend a Friday night on a date with yourself! If we want to be loved, we must first love who we are, exactly as we are. This yoga practice and discussion workshop will guide you into a celebratory relationship with your physical body. We will move through yoga poses and meditation experiences that will allow you to forgive yourself for the ways you have treated your body in the past, and open you to a new relationship with the way that you look so that you can celebrate yourself. When you move beyond your physical appearance as a measure of your value, you open yourself up to the possibility of what you can contribute to the world around you. You are no longer being seen, you are being YOU, and you are so much more valuable than your weight, waist size, or performance. Let’s drop the perfectionism and come into presence.
Saturday 15th October, 10.00am to 12.00pm
embody grace
This workshop will combine a yoga practice with an opportunity to finally let go of the resentments and the shame that you have been carrying. When we see ourselves as victims of our circumstances, we become addicted to our stories of pain. We build up resentments, we build up expectations, we built up tension. In this workshop, we will deconstruct the ways that anger and resentment are impacting us, mind/body/spirit. You will be given the tools to direct your heart toward forgiveness of yourself and others. When we allow the past to be in the past, we open up possibilities for the miracles that are available to us in the present. Allow yourself this gift today, to be free, to embody grace.
Saturday 15th October, 2.00pm to 4.00pm
embody integrity
Yoga means unity, wholeness, non-separation. However, often we don’t realize how to create the sense of integration off the mat. We keep parts of ourselves hidden. We contradict ourselves. We say one thing but do another. We feel one thing but say another. We do one thing but think another. Building trust with ourselves, and therefore others, is a commitment to integrity – to integrate what we say, think, feel, and do. When we act from a place of alignment and integrity, we cause less harm, we align with the greater good, and we become more trustworthy and effective. In this workshop, we will use the yoga shapes as metaphors for finding alignment in our lives off of the mat. Plan to practice and process during this Saturday afternoon workshop to grow you into a more integrated whole.
Sunday 16th October, 10.00am to 12.00pm
embody truth
This workshop will be a combined yoga practice, dharma talk, and discussion. Do you ever struggle to tell the truth to yourself? Do you find that you withhold telling the whole truth to others, for fear of hurting them, being rejected by them, or being annoying? In this workshop, we will break down the barriers we hold within ourselves from seeing and speaking the complete truth. We will use the yoga poses as a metaphor to discover the ways we conceal the truth, and journey together into what is real, what is present, and what is completely truthful. You will leave this experience with courage, bravery, and armed with the truth and the capacity to speak it without apology.
Sunday 16th October, 2.00pm to 4.00pm
embody presence
This yoga practice and discussion workshop will teach you how to access your emotions. Many of us have a limited range of emotions that we are willing to experience. We run numb, deny, and block most of our feelings because we fear that they will overwhelm us. In this workshop, you will learn how to identify your emotions through the sensations in your body. We will use the yoga poses as gateways into deeper information about how we feel and why. Then, we will use the sutras and psychological understanding to find ways to welcome feelings and make use of them, rather than avoid them. When you have access to your emotional state, you can determine how to act with integrity from the place of truth. Come and grow, in mind and body, as you learn to be fully present in all moments during this practice.
