Hello and I trust we are all as well as we can be.
There are so many things going on in this lockdown, I find that I can flip between actual acceptance and contentment to completely the opposite. From being really fed up at wearing gloves and washing everything that comes into my house with the right stuff (except the dogs) to a sense of enjoyment/peace in just doing something simple and gratitude to myself for looking after my body in following that procedure.
I usually have a walk around the garden with the dogs before bed and, I don’t know if you’ve noticed this, but the moon and stars are so bright, it reminds me of when I’ve been in rural India and the brightness of the planets at night.
This is not sexist but every one of my male friends I talk to are sharing tips on how to keep their hands, especially their knuckles, moisturised from all the washing. A bit weird, maybe, but these are weird times.
Probably the clearest thing to me so far is being aware of how I can rush and it would be good to really honour the time I’m allotted on this planet.
Getting to grips with working remotely (which used to mean for me being on a hilltop in India) has been interesting for me and possibly entertaining for the triyoga team watching me struggle. Whilst we are all learning this stuff as we go along and I hope and pray that both the learning curve we are having here and the other curve we all worry about will flatten out sooner than later.
In the meantime, we’ve got a few updates I hope you find of interest and helpful including extra classes on our online class schedule (including some new faces you might recognise) and online workshops with of our international guest teachers, such as Sally Kempton and Gurmukh. We’ll post all the latest details on our website here.
Please keep well.
Best wishes,
Jonathan Sattin
