What is the Bhagavad Gita?
The Bhagavad Gita is about many things, yet perhaps it’s most encompassing theme is that of yoga, if by this we understand the term to refer to our aligning ourselves with a divine power of life and love that supports all things, including our own lives. In this, one of the most important of yogic texts, Lord Krishna leads his beloved friend Arjuna to his heart so that Arjuna can live a life of responsible service to the world in the embrace of this divine love.

What to expect from this workshop
In this session we will hear and discuss teachings from this Song of the Beloved One that can give us guidance in refining our own harmonious, balanced, powerful life of yoga in the context of today’s challenges and opportunities.

This session will be a gentle introduction to one of the most important texts in yoga philosophy, taught by an internationally admired and distinguished scholar-teacher. If you have not studied the Bhagavad Gita, this session will give you an excellent entry into it. If you have studied this majestic text for years, this session will give you a renewed understanding of its deep and broad relevance to your life today.
