“Do you know that our soul is composed of harmony?” – Leonardo da Vinci
Atoms sing, and so does everything composed of atoms! We may not hear most of it since the audible frequency range of the human ear is limited. However, there are still all these sounds are out there and within.
Our tissues and organs have specific frequencies and rhythms that create an incredible symphony of life. As the rhythms of that symphony change, so do the results that they produce. When all systems are in harmony, we experience happy homeostasis and optimal health. Yet, as we go through our day, we are exposed to stress and obstacles that can trigger resistance and may turn into chronic disharmony.
Such prolonged disharmony has a negative impact on our internal musicians, causing certain organs to go out of tune and giving an outset to disease.
The goal of sound therapy is to bring the ease back by reminding these innate musicians and organs of their healthy frequencies and rhythms. Instead of removing the out of tune cells, we give them the notes back, so the beautiful concert of “Being” continuous. It is worth noting that ,just as the physical body has a set of frequencies, so, too, do emotions, thoughts and beliefs.
Vedanta speaks of Nada Brahma ,”The Universe is Sound”. The sound that is God or a higher being, of which all things are made. Probably this is why we like the music so much, but music as a tool for healing the body and soul or for the spiritual attainment has almost become lost. These days, the music has mostly entertaining functions and sometimes, even distracts us from the calling of the heart.
Through the gentle sound massage received by every cell of our body, we feel sonic cuddles that can ease our edges, resetting the natural rhythms and patterns. At certain stages, these vibrations help us to welcome and release buried feelings, melting the emotional stones away.
Further, we are invited to experience profound stillness. From that sacred space, the heart smoothly opens, flourishes and sings again. Feeling lighter and softer, we can meet people and situations in a fresh, more coherent way. As we do it, we feel love moving through us and working miracles. It is not a personal love, but a pure light of grace, which is our inherent nature
