Faith Hunter – international yogi, music head, and Spiritually Fly theorist – will be coming to triyoga for the first time this August.
Growing up in Louisiana, Faith began her practice of yoga and meditation in the early 90’s as a way to cope while her beloved brother was dying from complications related to AIDS. She has now been teaching for over 15 years and is the creator of Spiritually Fly™, an uplifting life philosophy that uses breath, movement, music and meditation in a fresh and modern way to encourage students to live an epic life.
Ahead of her weekend of Spiritually Fly workshops this August bank holiday, we find out a little more about this passionate teacher and creative spirit.

What life-altering things should every human ideally get to experience at least once in their lives?
It’s very sad, but experiencing the death of someone you love early in your life. It helps us in appreciating and deepening our understanding of our earthly existence. Death transforms our connection to the present, and it encourages us to cultivate more powerful relationships with others.

Has social media been a net positive or a net negative for our society? Why?
It’s all personal perspective, and ones relationship with social media. Like anything, it can have a negative impact when there’s zero respect for others, and when content is shared with the purpose of deceiving or causing harm. On the flip side, it has also served as a beautiful way to connect with people of other cultures, and opened our eyes to an expanded view of life.
To what extent do you shape your own destiny and how much is down to fate?
There’s no way for me to answer that. I have hopes, dreams and I set personal intentions. At the same time, I work hard, stay rooted in my beliefs, and never stop dreaming BIG.
