Why did you decide to become a GYROTONIC® Certified Trainer?
Until the age of 33 I was working as a professional dancer, working and touring for international companies across the world. After a long tour in the United States I injured my back. I tried to rehabilitate my injury with physiotherapy and other methodologies without finding an effective solution till I came across the GYROTONIC® method.
After the first gyro session I felt deep changes already starting in my body and, after a short period, my back, my mid-back in particular, significantly improved. Since that day GYROTONIC® has become part of my lifestyle.
I decided to become a trainer so that I could understand and apply the principles of the method in more depth and help the students that come looking for answers as I did many years before. GYROTONIC® is a complete and unique training method.
Meeting with the founder of the method, Juliu Horvarth
My training to became a GYROTONIC® and Gyrokinesis Trainer took place in Italy at the White Cloud Studio of the Master Trainer Pietro Gagliardi in Rome. There I had the honour to get in touch directly with the father of the GYROTONIC®, the “grand master”, the Inventor of the method: Juliu Horvath.
I worked for several years with him, taking part in many lessons of GYROTONIC® and Gyrokinesis in Italy, USA and Germany and dancing his choreography in the show “Bolero, a journey celebrating creativity” of the White Cloud Opera.
What is GYROTONIC® for and how do you get the best results?
GYROTONIC® is for everyone. It is aimed at athletes, sportsmen, housewives, elderly people, dancers, those who need a post-trauma rehabilitation as well as those who sit or stand for hours at the time. Through the help of specialised equipment and the use of breath, you will find yourself seduced by the spiralling movements and, session after session, you will learn to connect to your body in more and more depth.
In my career, I have helped dancers that wanted to improve their performance as well as sedentary students that wanted to improve their posture and overall flexibility. I have relieved pain caused by vertebral hernias, cervical and sciatic nerves, discs protrusions. I have helped students with severe scoliosis rebalance their body and elderly students find joy in a newly found freedom of movement.
One session is not enough to fully understand the principles behind GYROTONIC® and fully appreciate its benefits. Consistency of practice is key to a quick improvement so, after your initial starter assessment, we recommend you purchase a package of 5 or 10 lessons to experience what GYROTONIC® can do for your body and mind.
