Join us for an immersive 50-hour Rocket Yoga Teacher Training designed for anyone with an established yoga practice who wants to deepen their understanding of Rocket Yoga and explore the powerful lineage of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Whether you are a yoga teacher seeking to develop your teaching skills or a dedicated practitioner wanting to deepen your practice, this training offers a comprehensive introduction to the Rocket system.

Developed by Larry Schultz and inspired by the traditional Ashtanga method, Rocket Yoga is a dynamic, creative, and empowering practice that encourages freedom, exploration, playfulness, and growth. This training offers a comprehensive introduction to the Rocket system, including Rocket 1, Rocket 2, and Rocket 3 sequencing, while providing the tools and confidence to incorporate Rocket methodology into your classes and personal practice.

During this immersive long weekend, you’ll dive into the rich history and lineage behind the Rocket system, tracing its roots through Patanjali, Krishnamacharya, Pattabhi Jois, Larry Schultz, and David Kyle. Gain insight into how Rocket Yoga evolved and why it continues to inspire practitioners worldwide.

Who is this training for?

This training is open to anyone who wants to deepen their practice, regardless of their previous Rocket Yoga experience or whether they are a yoga teacher. Students are required to have a pre-existing yoga practice to take part.

The course is also suitable for dedicated practitioners looking to expand their understanding of the Rocket system, as well as teachers seeking to develop their skills. Participants who wish to teach Rocket Yoga after completing the training must already hold a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification.

Physical Practices and Sequencing:

The Rocket® – Beginners Introduction to the Rocket® Standing Series

Modified Primary Series – This sequence was Larrys first evolution with a creative modification technique that make Ashtanga Vinyasa Methods available to all!

Rocket® 1 – This classical series of Rocket Vinyasa is a 60 min. Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow that introduces the teacher to the Seated Modified Primary Series of Ashtanga in combination with The Rocket Standing series.

Rocket ® 2 – This classical series of Rocket Vinyasa is a 75 min Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow that introduces the teacher to our Modified Second Series of Ashtanga. This series also introduces 3rd,4th, and 5th series postures and transitions! Focus is strengthening the Spine, Shoulders, and Hips with invigorating back bends, spinal twists and inversions.

Rocket® 3 – (Aka ~ Happy Hour!) This Classical series of Rocket Vinyasa was often taught on Friday afternoons and offers two classes in one! Combining classic Rocket standing asanas, the seated Rocket primary and Rocket secondary series. This series is a perfectly balanced sequence of asana with both forward folds and back bends to create counterbalance within one class!

Hybrid Rocket® Sequences! – We always provide a few unique and more advanced Rocket® Sequences that are considered part of Level 2 Trainings Art of Sequencing.

Practice Techniques:

Learn the art of sliding, gliding, and floating in your Sun Salutations and Vinyasa Transitions.

Incorporating Inversions like Handstand and Forearm stand into your regular practice.

Strength Training Dills to bring perfection and ease to seated vinyasa jump through and jump back.

Art of Adjustment in fundamental asana and inversions.

Final Group Ceremony

All sessions will run from 9:00am–6:00pm, with a 1.5-hour lunch break each day. The final day will finish earlier.

accreditation

Upon completing 50 hours of training, you will be recognised as Rocket Inspired and able to share the practice to the best of your ability. If this is your second 50-hour Rocket training, bringing your total to 100 hours, you will qualify as a Level 1 Authorized Rocket Teacher and be expected to confidently deliver both Rocket 1 and Rocket 2 classes. All training hours contribute towards the 300-hour advanced training programme.

Meet Your Lead Trainer: Miel Sabre

Miel is a dedicated Ashtanga and Rocket Yoga teacher and licensed Rocket Yoga Teacher Trainer with a passion for helping practitioners deepen their understanding of movement, breath, and the Rocket Yoga system.

With over 20 years of experience as a dancer, she brings a unique combination of body awareness, discipline, and fluidity to her teaching. Her background allows her to guide students through the physical and energetic aspects of the practice with precision, creativity, and a strong emphasis on sustainable movement.

Miel holds a 500-hour Rocket® Yoga certification under David Kyle and is authorised to lead Rocket Yoga Teacher Trainings as a solo lead trainer. She continues to deepen her studies in traditional Ashtanga Yoga with respected teachers including Hamish Hendry, Louise Newton, and David Swenson, blending the roots of the Ashtanga tradition with the dynamic and accessible nature of Rocket Yoga.

Known for her energetic, supportive, and detail-oriented teaching style, Miel creates an environment where students are encouraged to challenge themselves while developing a deeper understanding of alignment, breath, sequencing, and teaching methodology. Her training combines practical experience, technical knowledge, and a genuine commitment to helping students grow both as practitioners and as teachers.

Having successfully led retreats, immersions, workshops, and teacher trainings, Miel is passionate about mentoring the next generation of Rocket Yoga teachers and sharing the transformative power of this practice with a wider community.
