Jivamukti Spiritual Warrior

The Jivamukti Spiritual Warrior class is a 1-hour set sequence which is taught in a vinyasa style which is designed for busy people who want a well-rounded yoga practice. It includes a short warm-up sequence, sun salutations, standing poses, back bends, forward bends, twists, inversions, meditation, and relaxation. Spiritual Warrior classes are suitable for students with some yoga experience, but of course all adventurous beginners are also welcome. The class is fast-paced and invigorating with a focus on the connection between breath and movement and on the flowing sequence of the postures. There is less theory or yoga philosophy from other Jivamukti classes. Available at triyoga Camden.

Yoga + Somatics

Somatics is an approach to movement that focuses on the experience and the felt sense of the body. Bonnie Bainbridge, the founder of Body-Mind Centering®, described “somatic” this way: “When the body is experienced from within, the body and mind are not separated but are experienced as a whole.” Somatics views the body through the personal experiential perspective, and it’s an approach that applies to people of all ages, at all stages of development and ability, in any human situation from birth to death.

This class creates a space for students to explore movements outside of familiar forms of asanas and is an opportunity to cultivate and expand your capacity to sense and witness what’s happening within the body in each moment. This allows you to learn new ways to respond and to express yourself, as well as supporting you in daily movements, asana practice or sports.

This is a process-oriented approach that will give you resources for embodying your authentic self with kindness and honesty, instead of projecting an image or idea onto ourselves or others. Enriching your movement vocabulary through curious, playful practice supports your health and the body’s innate healing processes, and deepens mind-body connections (not necessarily easy to come by through a fast paced or form-based asana class).

The class is open to everyone from non-movers to experienced movers, from beginners in yoga to advanced practitioners.  Everyone will be encouraged to work at their own pace, where they are, and all will benefit from this practice.  No previous experience required.

The class will be informed by Body-Mind Centering® as well as other somatic practices. Available at triyoga Camden.

Yoga for menopause

This class is a much-needed space for women at all stages of menopause to gather, share information and explore tools and techniques to help manage menopause symptoms. Using asana, pranayama, meditation and visualisation, we’ll build a toolkit of resources to explore and ease common menopause challenges. Razia will introduce you to frameworks of understanding from the Chinese medicine and ayurveda traditions, with the aim of providing you with accurate and nuanced terminology to help you name and own your experiences, and to explore aging as a cultural as well as a biological process. Each class opens with a circle for women to connect with each other and to be heard, establishing an intimate and supportive environment in which menopause can be explored with honesty, trust and vulnerability – as well as humour and fun!

Masterclass

Join returning and senior triyoga teachers for a weekly masterclass in which they will share various aspects of yoga – physical practice, anatomy, meditation, philosophy, psychology – from the perspective of their field of expertise.

This is an extended class that will provide expert guidance, offering you the opportunity to explore different areas in depth and to benefit from the vast experience, expertise and knowledge of our senior teachers. We invite you to take your practice to the next level by joining the community centred around our most loved and respected teachers. Available at triyoga Camden.

Beginners + next steps course

If you’ve got the basics under your belt, this slow moving, deep exploratory course uses longer holds and clear, detailed instruction plus props to guide and support you as you explore asana on a new level: as a practice that can illuminate our tendencies, patterns and habits and deepen our understanding of our own individual alignment. Available at triyoga Shoreditch.

Satsang

Meaning “association with the highest truth”, satsang is a community event that welcomes everyone who’d like to connect with other yoga practitioners, share experiences and explore yoga.

Held on the last Sunday of the month, our satsangs are hosted by different triyoga teachers and are opportunities for us to explore different aspects of yoga together. The format is fluid and may include chanting, meditation and other practices plus discussion, Q+A and reflection opportunities depending on need.

This is a dedicated space for everyone who’d like to share insights, ask questions, support others and to use yoga to grow as individuals and to build our practice community. Available at triyoga Camden.

Yoga for 10-14 year olds

Yoga is for everyone – and you’re never too young to start. These classes, taught by Susannah Hoffman who’s the author of the Dorling Kindersley book Yoga for Kids, are a great way for this age group to practise with friends and other students around their own age.

This class teaches poses as a way to build young peoples’ confidence in their own ability to learn and progress, and breathwork to help them to learn how to calm and quieten their minds. It supports physical and mental wellbeing, reduces stress and builds strength and flexibility. Available at triyoga Camden and triyoga Ealing.

200-hour teacher training

There comes a time for many yoga practitioners where the desire for a deeper exploration into the practice of yoga emerges. For some this may be a calling to share the practice with others, while for others, it may simply be about learning more and diving deeper.
