At Triyoga, representation matters — for both students and teachers. Full and partial scholarships are in place to support minority and underrepresented communities and financial hardship, and this course is intentionally dedicated to a core leadership team with primarily South Asian voices, elevating minority and underrepresented communities. This training is an ally for the LGBTQIA+ community — all voices are welcome.
The curriculum was created in partnership with Michael James Wong + Krama Yoga School — an internationally recognised programme for yoga teacher trainings — and this training takes place exclusively at Triyoga in the UK.

Course Curriculum
Part 1 · 23–27 Sep + 14–18 Oct 2026
The physical practice: anatomy, biomechanics + asana analysis
As teachers we have a meticulous responsibility to understand the physical practice and how it applies to modern yoga — refining technique and integrating up-to-date, evidence-based learning.
- Biomechanics, posture families + asana analysis
- Yoga anatomy + physiology — the intersection of strength, flexibility + mobility
- The three platforms of practice: feet, pelvis + shoulders
- The three wheels of the spine
- Personal practice development + practicum
Part 2 · 3–7 Feb + 17–21 Mar 2027
The intelligent practice: sequencing, teaching + blueprints
Learning to sequence well will never limit your creativity — intelligent practice design rests on two key components: attention and intention, in both approach and action.
- Intelligent + anatomical sequencing principles
- Eight essential practice blueprints
- Mental health considerations + inclusive language
- Modifications for injuries + body types
- Dialogue, verbal delivery + the XYZ teaching methodology
- Building your yoga business, community + online teaching
Part 3 · 14–18 Apr + 12–16 May 2027
The quiet practice: meditation, pranayama + philosophy
In Sanskrit, kaivalya translates as “the advancement towards freedom” — and in this part of the training the focus is on learning it, sharing it and embodying it completely.
- Contemplative meditation techniques for teachers — foundations of being, present-moment awareness + focused intention
- Pranayama + yogic breathing techniques — from longer practice sequences to common + uncommon techniques
- Subtle body energetics — the five kosha bodies + the vayus
- Yoga philosophy immersion + Bhagavad Gita deep dive
- Chronological yoga history + Sanskrit study: pronunciation, basic translations + cultural understanding
- Hindu deity mythology, mantras, kirtan + Bhakti yoga

Yoga Alliance Certified (300-hour)
This advanced teacher training is accredited by both Yoga Alliance Professionals (UK) and Yoga Alliance USA at 300-hour level. On successful completion — a teaching assessment and written assessment, with up to three attempts and a teaching team committed to getting you there first time — you’ll receive your 300-hour certificate. Combined with your 200-hour certification, this takes you to 500-hour registered teacher status. Should injury or life intervene, you may join the following cohort at the same point in the training.
Frequently asked questions
Who is the advanced training for?
Qualified teachers with a 200-hour certification and teaching experience, ready to refine their craft and deepen their teaching with senior faculty.
How do I apply?
Apply with a short form — no payment is taken, and a deposit secures your place once accepted. Not sure you’re ready? Ask for course advice below and we’ll help you plan the right pathway.
What's included while I train?
From the moment you pay your deposit, you receive a teacher training membership at 50% of the unlimited membership cost — access to all classes at all studios throughout your training. Mats and props are provided; course texts are purchased separately.
What if I can't complete my cohort?
The teaching team will do all they can to help you complete with your cohort — and if life intervenes, you can join the following cohort at the same point in the training.
What style of yoga will I learn to teach?
Vinyasa yoga — a style you can develop to reflect your own voice, and to accommodate the needs of your future body of students.
Do I need to be able to do advanced poses?
No. Our belief is that a yoga asana practice is a subjective one — being able to perform a particular variation of an asana, in your unique body, with your unique set of life experiences, does not make you either good or bad at yoga.
Are there any extra costs?
You’ll need to purchase or borrow the relevant course texts, and we advise taking out trainee insurance once you begin practice teaching members of the public.
Do I need my own yoga equipment?
Mats and yoga props are available for use at Triyoga free of charge — though many trainees like to have their own for hygiene reasons.
Are scholarships available?
Yes — a limited number of full and partial scholarships support minority and underrepresented communities and financial hardship. Ask about them when you apply.
