Bridget mentorship

ground + grow: mentoring programme with Bridget Woods Kramer

17 january 2020 – 26 july 2020

overview

This mentoring programme is a unique opportunity to study with Bridget Woods Kramer, sharing over 30 years of experience and knowledge on the art of teaching yoga.

Bridget is one of London’s most senior and highly-experienced teachers. She is also one of triyoga’s original and most-loved teachers and continues to lead regular Anusara® classes here, as well as offer workshops, teacher trainings, immersions and retreats all over the world. Working in a small group, limited to 14 students, you’ll receive individual attention and guidance and have the chance to ask questions and address whatever has arisen in your teaching.

Over the course of the programme, you’ll be able to hone your teaching skills, apply learnings in real class situations, and become a stronger, more confident teacher. You can take this mentoring programme as a stand-alone part of your continuing education as a yoga teacher or it can count towards your 300-hour advanced teacher training.

course content

The training consists of 93 teaching hours delivered through six modules. These consist of six weekends, running from Friday evening to Sunday evening. Alongside the training modules, you’ll be required to attend a minimum of 10 hours of classes with Bridget and 14 hours assisting Bridget in class.

There will be plenty of teaching practice and one-to-one feedback within each module, allowing you the time to hone your skills and find your voice as a teacher. Each module is focused around a specific level of yoga. This means you’ll have the time to focus and refine the skills needed to teach a variety of bodies and abilities skilfully. Modules will cover

  • The art of sequencing and theming, allowing you to teach in an authentic and powerful way
  • The art of observation and adjustment in asana, with practical and respectful ways to assist
  • Key alignment actions that make a class safe and effective
  • Effective use of props for your students
